Hospitality

Guest Wi-Fi, phones and back-of-house systems at every property

Hotels and venues run a lot of network for the people who look after it: access points in every corridor, phones in every room, cameras, printers and the servers behind the front desk. Monitaria watches them at every property and keeps each property's details on its own network.

What it handles

Guest Wi-Fi complaints
Access points are checked like any device, cloud-managed ones report their status and client counts through the vendor's API, and traffic data shows which links are busy.
Phones in every room
Discovery recognizes IP phones by their name, their web page or the voice VLAN they sit on, and voice gateways are a device type of their own. Flow data shows the share of call media that is marked for priority, and router jitter.
Each property has its own IT contact
Limit people to their property's site. Group IT sees every property on the hub; each property's collector works on its own as well.
Owners want a monthly report
The report builder includes a monthly report: availability, outages and the sites with the most downtime, to print, save as PDF or email on a schedule.

What it looks like

Screens from the demo collector, with sample data for a fictional company.
The Network health dashboard: a health score of 97.7%, the key numbers, a map of five sites and the current problems
Every property on one dashboard.
A seven-day availability report: average availability, devices below 99.9% and estimated downtime per device, with CSV download and print to PDF
A seven-day availability report.

How it connects

Customer network, at each site

  • Routers and firewalls
  • Switches and Wi-Fi
  • Servers and UPS
  • Printers, phones, cameras
  • Computers and laptops
  • Websites and services

Ping, TCP, HTTP(S), DNS, TLS, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, WinRM; NetFlow, sFlow, syslog and traps in

Local collector VM

  • Checks every device and keeps the history in SQLite on the VM
  • Raises alerts and serves its own dashboard on the local network
  • Keeps monitoring when the internet link is down

Site firewall

Outbound HTTPS only

TCP 443 to the hub. A small status snapshot, signed with HMAC-SHA256, with replay protection.

Inbound: nothing

No firewall rules, no VPN, no port forwarding.

Hosted

Monitaria hub

  • Every site's status on one dashboard
  • Sign-in with Microsoft or Google work accounts
  • Flags sites that stop reporting
  • Only answers; never connects to a site

Optional: a collector also runs on its own, with no hub.

The collector opens every connection; the hub can only answer. Device addresses, hostnames, monitored URLs, SNMP communities and history never leave the collector.

Also included

  • Cameras, printers, servers and UPS monitored next to the network
  • Maintenance windows for planned work
  • Alerts by email or webhook (Teams, Slack)
  • Per-device pricing; sites are unlimited

Try it on your own network

Every collector includes a 30-day evaluation with every feature, counted from the first time it starts. Monitoring and alerts never stop because of licensing.
